HUMAN RIGHTS LAW
In Austria the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms forms part of the Austrian Constitution and protects the majority of the modern human rights.
Dr. Weh has brought a great many cases before the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) and has won more cases in Strasbourg than any other Austrian lawyer (List of ECHR cases)
In spite of all the difficulties of launching a successful application to the ECHR a success before the ECHR brings great satisfaction and in many cases the solution of the material problem. The procedure is mostly in writing and needs patience, but is free of all costs or charges. The lawyer's costs depend on the size of the case and its difficulties.
A successful application to the ECHR begins already in the national procedure. To be allowed to apply to the ECHR the remedies in national law must have been exhausted. If the national procedure gives indications for a later need to apply to the ECHR it is wise to contact a specialist already before the application or remedy to the last instance of national law.
Dr. Weh offers to all colleagues a discrete internal advice or a transparent
common application to the ECHR.
